Wow, did this week start out with a blunder. We saw one of the worst games in recent years between the Colts and Broncos, as two struggling offenses continued. It might be time to hit the panic button on both of the teams that had high hopes entering the season. Luckily for viewers, the games on Sunday were more exciting. With another game in London, the early slate brought a major upset by the Giants against the Packers. Victories from the Eagles and the Cowboys again leaves the NFC East looking terrific once again. Possibly the most surprising division holds the only undefeated team and one of the best defenses in the league, which will face off Sunday night to show who's best. The other two teams fighting for best in the league picked up victories this week as well. The Chiefs squeezed by the Raiders on MNF, while the Bills manhandled the Steelers 38-3. We even saw some upset wins in the week courtesy of the Jets and Texans. Houston picked up their first win of the season against the Jags, while the Jets handled the struggling Dolphins with now their third string quarterback. Another near upset win brought up some controversy. In the Falcons vs Bucs game, the Bucs were up by six near the end of the fourth quarter, but the Falcons made a huge stop to get the ball back and attempt to go win the game. The problem was the stop didn't count as the huge sack by Grady Jarrett was called roughing the passer on Tom Brady which ultimately sealed the game. We then saw another questionable roughing the passer call the following night against Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones. This left many people with questions about how defenses are supposed to approach the quarterback after two terrible calls. With the concussions being up, and the Tua Tagovailoa injury, the safety of quarterbacks is becoming more prominent, but there has to be a line on certain plays. We will see how the league handles this from here on out after an eventful week in football.
