The NBA season is upon us. With that comes predictions for the new exciting season following an eventful offseason. Below will be the record predictions for each team along with the conference results for both sides.
East :
Celtics (62-20)
Bucks (59-23)
76ers (52-30)
Knicks (51-31)
Heat (47-35)
Cavaliers (45-37)
Nets (44-38)
Pacers (42-40)
Bulls (40-42)
Hawks (40-42)
Wizards (37-45)
Raptors (35-47)
Magic (35-47)
Pistons (28-54)
Hornets (18-64)
The Eastern Conference became a lot more interesting after the moves that the Bucks and Celtics made this summer. The two teams already being the top of the conference, were able to each upgrade their teams even more to be at the top once again. Other teams such as the Knicks and Pacers could be looking to move up in the standings with some under the radar additions. Other teams in the standings such as the 76ers, Cavs, and Nets will be looking similar to what they were last season as they could be stagnant in the standings. Teams like the Hawks and Bulls could be looking at their last season in the postseason as they continue to not improve in a drastic way. Teams like the Magic and Wizards could be looking at slowly improving one last year before making the big jump, while the Raptors could be a team that disappoints and falls out of the postseason standings. The East will be a fight until the end and could produce some deep teams in the postseason.
West :
Nuggets (58-24)
Lakers (57-25)
Warriors (55-27)
Suns (53-29)
Kings (45-37)
Mavericks (44-38)
Thunder (42-40)
Grizzlies (42-40)
Clippers (40-42)
Timberwolves (40-42)
Rockets (38-44)
Jazz (36-46)
Pelicans (35-47)
Trail Blazers (28-54)
Spurs (26-56)
The Western Conference could be a dog fight until the end as well as many teams will be close to each other. Once again the Nuggets will be at the top of the conference followed by a surprising Lakers team. The Warriors and Suns also will see jumps in their records as their rosters have gotten better in the summer. Teams like the Kings, Clippers, and Grizzlies could be looking at a little bit of decline as they didn't make many moves in the offseason to move the needle, which could hurt them. On the other hand, teams like the Mavs and Thunder could looking at getting better this season and putting themselves in better positioning compared to last season. The only team not in the postseason compared to last season is the Pelicans as they continue to show no movement in getting drastically better. Lastly, the Rockets could be the surprise of the conference as they made some key additions to the roster and staff to make them a promising team moving forward. The West could be a weird conference this season, but entertaining nonetheless.
