Two hot teams met in the big game with Arizona and Houston, respectively being their first and second season in the conference. The Cougars once again without Roberts, relied on guard play to be the catalyst on offense. A slow start for both squads, but soon Arizona ran into the lethal Houston defense that we know. Turning defense to offense to get going. Caleb Love although, started the first half where he left off. Helping the Wildcats to a first half lead and 14 points of his own. To start the second half, Milos Uzan and Emanuel Sharp were giving Houston a huge spark offensively. Uzan soon took over the game on offense to take the lead. The Arizona guards soon followed lead and were huge in not letting the game get away, thanks to Love, Lewis, and Bradley. They soon turned to the paint to retake the lead and crack the Cougar defense. Late game for the Cougars consisted of Uzan once again showing his teeth on offense, finishing with 25 points. This and the defensive pressure became too much for the Wildcats. The Houston Cougars went on to win their first conference championship in just their second year.
Team of the Day: Houston
Player of the Day: Milos Uzan
